Rohan is an IT employee. He opted work from home today, started day little late, woke up by 7.30am as no need to travel 1.30hrs. To reach the office, Picked up his smart phone attempt to check his Facebook app for reminders, for some reason no updates, opened Whatsapp..no updates here either. Instantly checked out his girl friend’s last seen time 🙂 it is not visible as well. Then he realized Wi-Fi is switched off.
The clock moved to 10 am; he got a call from his manager. Hey, Rohan, I don’t see you online yet what’s going on. He said, Hey Aman, electricity outage here it may take some more time to get online as he wanted to make maximum use of ‘work from home,’ switched on geezer and got into the restroom. He got ready and had breakfast by 10.30am.
Finally, he Switched on the internet and took his smartphone up attempting to check something, realized that the web is not working, Rohan got shocked. Phone ringing again. Looked at the phone, Monkey (his boss) calling, since he doesn’t like his boss, he named as Monkey in the phone :). He just disconnected the call as he doesn’t know what to say.
Rohan called the service provider and came to know that as there is a problem in the optical fiber no internet for the whole day. However, today’s task is very much important since there is a big release. He got confused and called his friend explained the whole scenario; his friend suggested one thing that why don’t you manage with a mobile hotspot? he immediately disconnected the call and attempted to enable the DATA. Realized that data is not working either as he forgot to pay the phone bill.
Ting…ting..ting.. Monkey (his boss) calling again, he picked up the call with a lot of confusion. Eventually, Aman blasted him about his disappearance and irresponsibility and concluded that today is your the last day of submitting your appraisal as well. Indirectly he said that it would be severely affected. Rohan got depressed about his situation, as usual by forgetting everything he attempted to order food online. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out.
Rohan got a call from a big company and would like to schedule an interview next day. Apparently, they want to see his profile as soon as possible. Most important thing: he has been keep dragging to order a birthday gift online for his girlfriend as it is in next two days to surprise her. It’s already 2.30pm he decided to go to the office, reached office by 5 pm and immediately paid his mobile bill electricity bill and cleared all the bills which are in pending.
Today’s lifestyle is this. We are not in a position to imagine a day without internet. I am not here to judge right or wrong but attempted to bring out the dependency.
How about if we don’t have a Google search engine one day?
How about if the cloud which you have a lot of data uploaded is no more?
Imagine a life paying electricity bill in the queue.
Imagine an old traditional banking system to withdraw your money.
Ha..ha..ha.. I know how difficult it is. However, I am a big internet user hence don’t like to imagine a life without internet….do you…?
